Closer to the music. Closer to each other.

Closer opens in October with Pathways of Light, tracing folk song into art music from Dvořák to R. Nathaniel Dett. In December, an entirely unaccompanied All Is Calm, All Is Bright in two of Washington’s most beautiful sanctuaries. And in March comes Brahms: EIN DEUTSCHES REQUIEM OP. 45, presented in the intimate 1871 London version for chorus and piano four-hands — as the piece was first heard, in a private drawing room. Three programs, one direction: closer.
