Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Washington Master Chorale (“WMC,” “we,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on washingtonmasterchorale.org and how you can control optional Marketing technologies.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Local storage, pixels, and tags can also remember settings, protect the website, measure visits, or connect website activity with a service provider. These technologies may process your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and interactions.
Necessary technologies and requested features
Weebly/Square and related hosting services deliver and protect the website, support member access, and remember your Marketing choice. Necessary technologies operate independently of that choice.
Features you choose to use, such as a form or video, may also require technical information to provide that feature. Rejecting Marketing does not prevent you from using requested content, submitting a newsletter signup, or following ticketing and donation links.
Statistics
Google Analytics 4 measures website visits and use. Statistics remains active regardless of your Marketing choice; Cookie Settings does not turn it off. We also use Google Analytics on our Qgiv donation form. When you follow a donation link from our website, analytics identifiers can connect those visits so we can understand how visitors reach the form. Keeping Marketing off does not disable this measurement.
Marketing and supporter tracking
Bloomerang website-visit tracking can associate website activity with supporter records. WMC treats this CRM tracking as Marketing. It remains off until you explicitly accept Marketing. When enabled, it records visits using a browser identifier and may associate them with a supporter record after a Bloomerang email link or CRM form identifies that browser. The website uses a consent-controlled connection to Bloomerang; it does not enable social advertising pixels.
The Marketing choice applies to website tracking. It does not prevent WMC from receiving and managing the ticket, donation, or subscription information you provide through a service you use.
Make or change your choice
The website notice offers these controls:
- Reject Marketing saves your choice to leave optional Marketing off.
- Accept Marketing enables optional Bloomerang website-visit tracking.
- Cookie Settings lets you turn Marketing on or off and save your choice.
Necessary technologies and Statistics are not controlled by the Marketing switch. Leaving the notice unanswered keeps Marketing off.
You can reopen Cookie Settings at any time using the website’s persistent control. Saving Marketing as off stops future Bloomerang website-visit requests from this website and removes its accessible website-tracking cookie. Previously saved choices from an earlier policy version do not enable this tracking; a fresh choice is required. A change cannot undo information already sent to a provider, and some previously stored cookies may need to be removed through your browser.
Embedded content and external services
Mailchimp handles newsletter signups. YouTube and the Library of Congress provide media on selected pages. A provider may receive technical information and use cookies or similar technologies when its embedded feature loads or when you open its external service. The information and purposes depend on that provider’s policies and settings. Playing a video or submitting a form does not turn on WMC’s separate Marketing choice.
Embedded tracking tools from Meta/Facebook or X/Twitter social features are not loaded by this website. Sharing links work without enabling Marketing. Selecting a sharing link opens the provider’s sharing page, where its own notices and controls apply. The sharing link does not load that provider’s sharing tools before you select it and does not enable WMC Marketing tracking. Social-profile links also remain available.
Links to InstantSeats, Bloomerang/Qgiv, PayPal, and other external services take you to sites with their own privacy notices and controls. Our Qgiv donation form also uses WMC’s Google Analytics measurement described above. Cookie Settings on this website does not control Qgiv’s own technologies or other external services.
Storage and browser controls
Your choice is stored in this browser’s local storage (wmc.privacy.choice.v1) for up to 90 days. When you enable Marketing, the bloomerangConstituent cookie is also set for up to 90 days and is removed from this website when you turn Marketing off. Website-visit requests omit URL queries and fragments; an identifier from a Bloomerang email link may be passed separately to associate the visit with a supporter record. Clearing site storage, using another browser or device, or expiration of the stored choice may cause the notice to appear again. Other cookies may last for a session or remain until their provider-set expiry or removal; browser restrictions can shorten these periods.
Your browser can block or delete cookies and site storage. This may affect member access or features you request. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Website Marketing choices and email subscription choices are separate; use the unsubscribe link in a WMC email to stop marketing email.
Changes and questions
WMC will update this policy when its technologies or choices materially change. See our Privacy Policy for information about other uses of personal information. Send questions to [email protected].
